Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year veterinary experience in surgical department or with high risk anesthesia cases.

Responsibilities

• Assess animal requirements via examinations and records; review care plans and perform diagnostic imaging.
• Take vital signs; collect samples; administer medications, vaccines; bandage wounds.
• Assemble supplies, move patients to rooms, restrain patients as directed by veterinarian.
• Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, pharmacology; use equipment and administer drugs.
