Veterinary Surgical Centers in Vienna, VA is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support board-certified surgeons in advanced surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary hospital experience required.
• Hands-on experience with anesthesia monitoring is required.
• Proficiency with multi-parameter monitoring equipment and anesthetic agents desired.
• Experience in specialty or surgical veterinary medicine preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist board-certified surgeons and specialty team during care and procedures.
• Take patient histories, monitor vitals, and manage check-in/check-out.
• Perform in-hospital laboratory procedures and prepare specimens for outside labs.
• Monitor anesthesia and support pre- and post-operative care.
• Prepare surgical area including instrument setup and scrubbing.
