Job summary

Huntsville Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nurse Tech to provide supportive care under supervision of a licensed nurse. The role focuses on patient comfort, safety, and advocacy within our interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, and adherence to infection prevention protocols. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, healthcare experience preferred, and BLS within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Current Nurse Aide certification or must be at least halfway through a Registered or Locational Nursing program. BLS certification required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care support at a competent level, includingADL assistance and vital signs.
• Adheres to infection prevention protocols.
• Protects patient rights and privacy, including confidentiality and informed consent.
• Demonstrates adaptability, problem solving and professional behavior.
• Participates in systemwide quality improvement and service excellence initiatives.
• Supports professional growth and acts as a mentor and resource to staff.
• Maintains PHI confidentiality and workplace safety.
• Assists in survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Follows the hospital’s Code of Conduct and safety policies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Healthcare experience preferred

Nurse Aide certification or RN/LPN program in progress; BLS certification within 30 days
