Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work on the Surgical and Trauma Specialists-East Mesa unit. The NP will provide age-appropriate care, collaborate with physicians, order and interpret diagnostics, and prescribe medications, while leading as a mentor and educator within a Shared Governance model.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, staff coaching, discharge planning, and involvement in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree MS, MN or MSN from NLN/CCNE is required.
• Bilingual-Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients appropriate to their age on units assigned.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to perform history, physicals, order/interpret diagnostics, and prescribe medications.
• Demonstrate leadership as mentor, educator, researcher and provider within Shared Governance.
• Educate staff on clinical skills, discharge planning, and nurse‑physician‑client‑family communication.
• Lead and participate in research, evidence-based practice, and process improvement projects.
