Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Minimum one year Acute Care RN experience strongly preferred.
• Current CT RN license.
• BLS certification required prior to date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients in the Surgical-Trauma ICU.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care.
• Assist in the management of patients with complex medical conditions.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes to the medical team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
• Support and mentor new nursing staff and graduate nurses.
