Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Unity Hospital's Surgical Telemetry unit (3300). This part-time night-shift position (24 hours/week) involves direct patient care in a 19-bed med-surg unit focusing on neurosurgery and thoracic cases. Collaboration with surgeons, APNs, and WOCNs is essential for quality patient outcomes.

The role requires an NYS RN license, a nursing diploma or associate degree, and BLS. Preferred are a BSN and 6 months of experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered clinical care.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient.
• Communicates and documents assessment with the interdisciplinary team.
• Develops and documents plan of care individualized to patient needs.
• Adheres to safety, medication administration and documentation policies.
• Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations.
• Completes CRU form using a recent US-based article.
• Completes at least 5 national CNE/CEU hours per year.
• Completes mandated in-services and health screens timely.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
