Job summary

Henry Ford College seeks a Surgical Technology Clinical Instructor to educate, supervise, and evaluate students in diverse clinical settings across southeast Michigan.

The CI serves as a clinical resource, collaborates with the Clinical Manager and Educational Coordinator, and ensures timely feedback, safety, and professional conduct throughout rotations. Hours are variable Monday through Friday; reliable transportation to travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Requires an earned Associate's Degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a minimum of 3 years' OR work experience in the Operating Room (OR) required.

Responsibilities

• Educate and supervise Surgical Technology students in clinical settings.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Serve as clinical resource for students and coordinate with the Clinical Manager and Educational Coordinator.
• Orient students to hospital policies, badging, security, and safety procedures.
• Arrange for preceptors and monitor weekly progress.
• Maintain professional practice and participate in continuing education to stay current.
