Surgical Technologist - Weekend Nights - Cardiovascular Transplant Operating Room - (250000CF)

Description

Under the general supervision of medical and nursing staff, following policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, assists with surgical and endoscopy procedures. Provides, assembles, and cares for surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment before, during, and after procedures. Assists with cleaning, restocking, and processing of the surgical suite, instruments, and equipment as needed. Identifies and reports situations requiring intervention to the RN or Clinician. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist training program, with active and maintained CST Certification from AST or NCCT, OR completion of a Hospital-Based Surgical Tech Program, equivalent Military experience, and a minimum of 1 year working experience.
• CVTOR and/or transplant experience preferred.
• On Call required
