Position Overview

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for supporting the surgical team by preparing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, and assisting during procedures. The role reports to a registered nurse (R.N) and may include inventory management and medication distribution.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified surgical tech program (community college, vocational school, military, or hospital-based) preferred, or experienced Operating Room Technician with documented on-the-job training.
• Certified Surgical Technician preferred.
• Continued education: Six contact hours or three college credits related to nursing per year encouraged.
