Job summary

Aspen Valley Health in Colorado is hiring a full-time Surgical Technologist in the Surgery department for a short-term seasonal role from Sept 24, 2026 to Apr 10, 2027. The position supports sterile prep, OR setup, and intraoperative communication with the perioperative team.

Qualifications include an unrestricted Surgical Technologist license in Colorado (or eligibility), BLS, and preferred 2 years OR experience and CST/NCCT TS-C cert. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Job description

We are currently hiring for a full time Surgical Technologist within the Surgery department here at Aspen Valley Health. This is a short-term SEASONAL position with an anticipated start date of September 24, 2026 and an expected end date of April 10, 2027.

Work Shift: Mids - 10 Hour Compensation Range: $42.19 - $67.48 Night and weekend shift differentials up to $10 per hour! The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.

Requirements:

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist (ST) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.

We will consider equivalent combinations of experience and education for certain jobs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years recent O.R. experience preferred.
• Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST) preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Position Overview:

Maintains sterile field and instrumentation for all surgical procedures. Prepares the operating room and supplies for each surgical case in a neat and efficient manner. The Surgical Technologist (ST) will communicate with all other members of the Perioperative team to give the highest standard of care according to AORN standards for patients in the intraoperative period. The ST works collaboratively with co-workers, stocks and orders of supplies for department. The ST provides additional supportive patient care as directed by others.
