Northwest Hospital, part of LifeBridge Health in Maryland, seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist the surgeon during procedures in the Main OR and related suites. You will work under supervision of an RN and coordinate with the Surgical Assistant Coordinator to support patient care.
Required 1–3 years experience and Basic Life Support. Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive healthcare environment.
Northwest Hospital's main operating room (Main OR) provides innovative surgical services on both inpatient and outpatients. The main surgical suite consists of a new exquisite pre- and post-operative area, five operating rooms, one Cysto suite and an endoscopy suite. Northwest's operating room team also completes surgical procedures in the Northwest surgery center. The surgery center provides surgical services to outpatients. The main operating room and surgery center collectively cares for approximately 450 surgical patients a month. Patients of surgical services may require care following general or Orthopedic, urologic, gynecologic, thoracic, vascular, podiatric, cosmetic, general, endoscopic procedures. Surgical service employees provide excellent care to their patients and follow Association of Peri-Operative Registered Nurses (AORN) and American Society of Peri-Anesthesia Nursing Practice.
As a member of the surgical team, provides technical assistance to the surgeon/physician during surgical intervention under the supervision of the RN. When not directly assisting the physician in a procedure, may participate in the rendering of patient care under the direction of the Surgical Assistant Coordinator or a Registered Nurse.
Pay Range: $23.80 to $41.85 Based On Experience
