Job summary

Carolina Surgical Center at Piedmont in Rock Hill, SC is hiring a Surgical Technologist Scrub Tech for a full‑time position. The technologist will scrub for procedures, maintain a sterile field, prepare supplies and equipment, and assist physicians across ENT, ophthalmology, general surgery, gyn and orthopedics.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a Surgical Technician program, state certification, and 2–5 years in a fast‑paced ambulatory surgery setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Surgical Technician Program or equivalent
• State/center certification as required
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Able to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions
• Teamwork and communication with staff, patients, and physicians
• 2–5 years in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery setting/peri-operative scrub
• Experience across multiple specialties (ENT, ophthalmology, gyn, plastics, general, urology, orthopedics, ocular plastics, podiatry, dental)

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment disinfected and assembled
• Check equipment is in working order
• Place sterile solutions in accessible areas for doctors
• Prepare patients for surgery (clean, shave, disinfect)
• Assist with moving patients to the OR and position them
• Pass sterile surgical instruments to surgeons
• May cut sutures, track sponges/needles, operate lights, dress wounds
• Prepare and dispose of lab specimens
• Clean and prep OR for upcoming procedures
