Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support surgeons and RNs before, during, and after operative procedures. You will scrub, assist with circulating duties, set up sterile fields and maintain aseptic conditions throughout surgeries.

Position requires 6-month orientation for those new to the OR, with day shifts 7:00am–3:30pm and on-call. Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or CST/TS-C certification is required, with BLS certification also

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent military program or CST/TS-C certification.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up sterile table with supplies, drugs and equipment.
• Assist with gowning, gloving and draping of surgical team.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures and participate in intraoperative timeouts.
• Count sponges and instruments with RN and circulator.
• Pass instruments and support sterilization processes post-surgery.
