Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly prior to procedures.
• Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies.
• Maintain sterile fields and follow strict infection control protocols.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond quickly to requests.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure patient safety and prevent retained items.
• Transport patients and help with positioning as needed.
• Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other staff to ensure smooth surgical workflows.
