Job summary

NURSE’S Etc. STAFFING seeks a qualified Surgical Technician specializing in plastics to support operating room teams at Nellis AFB, Nevada. You will contribute to sterile technique, instrumentation handling, and patient safety during procedures.

Ideal candidates have accredited surgical technology education and current CST/TS-C credentials, with at least 12 months of relevant experience and a strong operations mindset for clinic flow.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Surgical Technology program recognized and accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, NCCT, or completion of a formal Armed Forces surgical tech training program.
• Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTSA or TS-C from NCCT or possess a Military Occupational Specialty; must maintain currency at no cost to the government.
• Have at least 12 months of experience within the last 36 months as a surgical services technician; clinic operations experience desired.

Education

CAAHEP/ABHES accredited Surgical Technology program

NCCT Certification path or military surgical tech training

Completion of accredited surgical service and clinical course

Qualifications

Degree/Education: Graduate from a Surgical Technology Program recognized and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or completion of a formal training program provided by any branch of the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) for surgical technicians, surgical technologists, operating room technicians. Completion of an accredited surgical service and clinical course.
Certifications (in addition to Basic Life Support identified in paragraph 1.5.45.6.): Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or certified as a Tech-in-Surgery (TS-C) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or possess a Military Occupational Specialty. Computer-based training does not constitute fulfilling the training requirements. Must maintain currency at NO cost to the government.

Experience: Have at least 12 months of experience within the last 36 months as a surgical services technician. Clinic operations experience desired.
