Job summary

PeaceHealth in Bellingham, Washington is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Main OR Surgery team at St. Joseph Medical Center. This part-time (.8 FTE) role involves variable shifts totaling 32 hours per week plus on-call, supporting a broad range of surgeries in a 10-suite OR.

You’ll prepare and maintain the sterile field, assist the surgical team, and participate in safety initiatives while upholding quality standards within a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• Ability to apply age-specific growth and development principles to patient care.
• WA State Surgical Technologist Registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team by maintaining sterile field and set-up.
• Maintain sterile environment and assist with asepsis.
• Prepare and move patients as needed.
• Clean, disinfect and sterilize instrumentation; assist with room turnover.
