We’re looking for dedicated Surgical Technology professionals to join our team.

What We Offer:

$5k sign-on bonus for external candidates with 1+ years of experience and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for new grad techs.

What You Will Do:

1. Provide safe efficient age-specific nursing care to patients/families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
2. Provide patient care/function in a primary scrub position and take responsibility for precepting others in the scrub role.
3. Assist with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures and serve as a resource in an area of expertise.
4. Assure appropriate instruments/supplies are present and in proper working condition, and demonstrate the ability to operate service-specific equipment.
5. Provide labeled medications with correct doses on the sterile field and adhere to patient safety expectations.
6. Support the operative team, including following patient care hand-off protocols, standards, and policies in collaboration with a RN/ACN.
7. Actively participate in the quality improvement process.
8. Involved in learning, self-improvement and perform as a knowledge expert and resource person for the service line.

4. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
