Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota, seeks Surgical Technologist students to serve in the operating room at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Selected applicants will receive a paid education benefit in exchange for serving at Essentia Health for a contracted period after graduation.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology program and will work 36 hours weekly with day, evening, and night shifts, including every fourth weekend and a holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist within one year after hire.

Responsibilities

• Functions under the supervision of an RN in the Operating Room providing technical interventions in the OR.
• Responsible for instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies.
