Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Edina, MN is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room at Southdale Hospital. In this role you'll assist in surgical procedures by preparing the OR, arranging and passing instruments to surgeons, and maintaining a sterile environment under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

This is a 1.0 FTE position with rotating 8-hour shifts, every third weekend, and a 30-minute on-call response.

Qualifications

• Complete one qualifying credential by hire date.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required by hire date.
• AST certification preferred or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room and pass instruments.
• Maintain aseptic technique during procedures.
• Ensure accurate identification and handling of specimens.
• Count sponges, sharps, and instruments.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs.
• Support safety and efficiency in the OR.
