Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans, LA, is hiring a Surgical Technologist to support safe surgeries by maintaining a sterile environment and acting as an extra pair of hands in the operating room.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Preferred: Surgical Technician certification.
• Previous experience as a surgical technologist.

Responsibilities

• Assist the circulating nurse with patient positioning and site preparation.
• Maintain an organized sterile field and proper instrument handling.
• Perform first scrub on basic surgical cases and assist surgeon as needed.
