Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program or six months specialized patient care training in the armed forces required.
• Current BLS certification or able to obtain within one month; Surgical Technologist certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for general to moderately complex procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team; assist with patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Support patient preparation, transport, and respond to emergent situations per procedures.
