Qualifications

• Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma General or GED General or Accredited Program Surgical Technology Required
• Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• Additional License(s) and Certification(s): Cert Surgical Tech, LPN or Tech in Surgery - Certified Upon Hire Preferred
• Required Minimum Experience: Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program or LPN Required, Operating room experience Preferred
• Required Minimum Skills: Ability to read, write and speak the English language; Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Performs duties within moderate to high acuity surgical cases.
• Prepares operative suite and surgical field to ensure a safe patient care environment.
• Maintains sterile field and assists in room setup, instrument handling, and supplies management
• Collaborates with health care team and mentors staff as needed
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards and Wellstar policies
