Job summary

Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the on-site operating room team. The role involves passing instruments, assisting surgeons, maintaining asepsis, and preparing the OR across procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and passes instruments, labels medications, supports surgeon.
• Assists with asepsis and infection control; prepares OR for procedures.
• Maintains counts of sponges, needles and instruments per policy.
• Anticipates surgeon needs during operations; researches procedure details.
• Cares for surgical specimens per policy and maintains equipment readiness.
• Positioning, prepping, draping, and transferring patient; applies dressings.
