Job summary

The Hughston Clinic, Hughston Foundation, Hughston Surgical Center and affiliated Hughston entities are seeking a Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) to assist in the operating room. The role requires OR experience or graduation from an approved Surgical Technologist program, with orthopedic surgery experience preferred.

Earn a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Shift is 6a-6p, and they emphasize teamwork, patient safety, and adherence to policies and procedures within the surgical suite.

Qualifications

• 1 year of OR experience required or graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist Program.
• Orthopaedic Surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and provides sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment during surgical procedures.
• Maintains sterile environment and technique.
• Maintains control over all 'countables' during surgery.
• Ensures required instruments, supplies, and implants are accounted for before start of surgery.
• Follows OR policies & procedures for turnover between cases, maintaining efficiency.
• Demonstrates proper universal precautions and PPE usage.
