Job summary

ProHealth Care is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to serve as the scrub person under the supervision of an RN or physician. You will help ensure a safe OR environment and support physicians during invasive procedures.

The ideal candidate will have CST training or military equivalent, 2+ years of OR experience, and BLS certification or the ability to obtain it on hire. Orthopedics and Neurosurgery exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technologist program CST preferred or equivalent military training.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a surgical technologist in the same area or in similar day-to-day situations in a hospital operating room setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Experience (or interest) in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Surgical Technologist functions as the scrub person.
• Works under the direct supervision of an RN or physician to facilitate safe and effective care during invasive and operative procedures.
• Ensure that the OR is safe, equipment is functioning properly and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
• Facilitates a physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures.
