The role focuses on preparing operating rooms, organizing sterile instruments, and promoting safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced OR setting. You will maintain aseptic technique, assist during procedures, perform counts, and coordinate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to ensure efficient and coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (level I or II) is required.
• Strong knowledge of sterile processing, surgical instruments, and OR workflows.
• Ability to follow safety and infection-prevention protocols consistently.
• Reliable attention to detail for surgical counts and specimen handling.
• Effective teamwork and communication in a fast-paced OR environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control standards throughout procedures.
• Prepare and set up operating rooms and sterile instrument trays.
• Assist surgeons during procedures, providing instruments and related support as needed.
• Perform surgical counts and document results according to policy.
• Handle and process specimens appropriately and ensure proper labeling/transfer.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to support coordinated patient care.
