Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Surgical Technologists (OR) to support the Richmond VA Medical Center located at1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA 23249. The schedule is typically Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with on-call duties. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Responsibilities

• Provides the full range of operating room technician services within the scope of practice for a variety of operative procedures
• Ensures that all JHACO standards for care are met during performance of patient care
• Completes appropriate medical record forms in compliance with VA guidelines and policies on each patient
• Verifies the content and correctness of all recorded entries in the patient record; all documentation/records/reports must meet or exceed established VA standards to include, but not limited to: timeliness, legibility, accuracy, content, and signature; the outpatient record shall be completed the same day the patient is seen
• Completes all appropriate medical record forms in compliance with VA guidelines and policies on each patient
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Has completed a qualifying course of study as an operating room technician
• Has been actively performing both scrub and circulating functions within the operating room
• Has and maintains current BLS certification
• Has no health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with the performance of assigned duties
• Has documented training and skills verification

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
