UF Health Shands Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the cardiovascular diagnostic team and surgical procedures. The role involves assisting surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists, and passing instruments during operations.

Graduation from a recognized Surgical Technologist program is required; 1 year of experience is preferred. Schedule is 20 hours per week, days, at Gainesville, FL.

Responsibilities

The Surgical Technologist assists as a member of the surgical team who works with the surgeon, registered nurse, and anesthesiologist delivering direct patient care before, during and after surgery. The technologist functions as an instrument assistant and may also function as a circulating assistant under supervision of a registered nurse.
