Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital in Needham Heights, MA seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the Operating Room team. You will provide sterile instruments, organize supplies, and assist circulating nurses in keeping the OR stocked.

The role supports a family-centered peri-operative environment and includes 10-hour shifts with short-call requirements. Minimum qualifications include 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience and pediatric experience preferred.

We are seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the team within our Operating Room at Needham.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing sterile instruments to surgical teams during surgery.
• Organizing and arranging sterile instruments and supplies.
• Collecting and removing contaminated items at completion of cases.
• Assisting circulating nurses in maintaining adequate stock of sterile supplies.
• Working collaboratively in a family-centered peri-operative environment.
• Working 10-hour shifts with short-call requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

License / Certifications

• A certificate from a Surgical Technologist program OR Individuals employed as surgical technologists in a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013, OR Individuals who have completed a training program for surgical technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service.

Sign-on bonus of $10,000 for full-time hires with over 1 year of direct OR experience as a Surgical Tech (who have not worked here in the past 2 years).

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
