This job is ON - SITE.

Shift: Shift 1
Job Summary:

The Surgical Technologist handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures. They should understand the procedure being performed and have the knowledge to ensure quality patient care during operations. The technologist must maintain a sterile field vigilantly and perform duties that support department efficiency, cost containment, and quality performance.

Experience:

Competent in the role of Surgical Technologist with the ability to perform tasks independently. A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education, certification, or diploma is necessary, including completion of a Surgical Technologist program, Military Operating Room Specialist course, or Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program.

Licensure:

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
