Surgical Technologist - LaGrange OR - Sign-On Bonus

Join us for the Surgical Technologist - LaGrange OR - Sign-On Bonus role at Parkview Health.

Position Details

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus! On call every 4th weekend and 1 weekday/night at Noble.

Summary

Under the supervision of the Perioperative leader, the Surgical Technologist assumes responsibility for ensuring quality care as part of the healthcare team within the Perioperative environment. Responsibilities include anticipating, planning for, and responding to the needs of patients, surgeons, and team members. Maintains confidentiality of all patient, coworker, and physician information.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED. Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program or evidence of employment as a Surgical Technologist prior to July 1, 2009.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current certified surgical technologist certification, or obtain certification within 12 months of completing a surgical technology degree from an accredited school. Evidence of employment as a certified surgical technologist prior to July 1, 2009, is also acceptable. Certification must be renewed every four years, with 15 CEU credits completed annually. Current CPR certification required.
  • Experience: Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills, ability to lift up to 50 pounds (shared lifting up to 100 pounds).
