Winona Health in Winona, MN is seeking a Surgical Technologist In-Training in the Operating Room. This 0.80-0.90 FTE role involves working with the surgical team under an RN and surgeon to support sterile technique, instrument handling, and patient care before, during, and after procedures.
The position requires completion of Surgical Technologist training within 1 year and national certification within 1 year of employment.

Days, Hours between 6:30 am - 3:00 pm (Late Stay Requirement)
Weekends: Weekend Call Rotation
Holidays: Holiday Call Rotation
*Starting Pay Between $22.66 - $28.32 Based on Experience
*Note: This is a transitional role. The expectation is for the selected applicant to complete the required Surgical Technologist training within 1 year of employment (online surgical technologist training) and achieve certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Center for Competency Testing within 1 year of employment. Upon certification they will transition from a Surgical Technologist In-Training role to the Surgical Technologist role. This transition will include a pay increase and a sign-on bonus.
Position Overview:
The Surgical Technologist In-Training provides specific services in the Surgery Department under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and Surgeon. They are active in the surgery process and collaborate with the surgical team to deliver quality and safe health care. The Surgical Technologist In-Training has an understanding of the surgical processes in the operating room. Provides care while meeting physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and educational needs of the patient and family. They collaborate with the surgical team to modify the plan of care based on the needs of the patient and reports changes in the patient’s condition to the RN.
