Job summary

Memorial Hospital in Marysville, OH is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Surgery team in a full-time, benefits-eligible role on-site.

You will prepare operating rooms, assist with instruments, maintain sterile fields, and support postoperative readiness. Eligible candidates should have a Surgical Tech diploma or associate degree and valid BLS certification; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required/maintained.
• Diploma/certificate in Surgical Technology or an Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology or related healthcare field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the operating room, equipment, instruments and supplies for use in various surgical procedures.
• Anticipate and provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
• Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts.
• Prepare patient specimens and medications of sterile field.
• Set up and maintain an organized sterile field.
• Move and position patients safely to prevent injury.
• Prepare sterile dressings as needed.
• Provide circulator with product packaging information for patient charging.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and set up for the next patient.
