Job summary

HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children's is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist III to support complex surgical cases in the OR. You will assist in a scrub role, maintain strict aseptic technique, and prepare equipment and supplies for diverse procedures.

The role requires completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program with certification preferred, Surgical Registry, and BLS. Experience mentoring staff and handling multiple case types is desirable.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program, certification preferred, Surgical Registry required and BLS required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required as part of the basic eligibility.
• Graduate of Surgical Technician Program with certification preferred.
• Surgical Registry and BLS are mandatory requirements for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist during surgical procedures in the scrub role and maintain aseptic technique.
• Set up operating room, instruments, and supplies for scheduled cases.
• Pull cases as needed and break down cases at end of procedures.
• Prepare OR and schedule for following day’s cases; support multiple surgical specialties.
• Act as a preceptor and mentor for new staff and students.
