Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Surgical Technologist III to support operative teams in our Los Angeles facility. You will prepare rooms, arrange instruments, and assist during procedures, contributing to patient safety and efficient workflows.

Under the supervision of licensed caregivers, you will maintain sterile technique, communicate clearly with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesiologists, and uphold standards set by the hospital and accrediting bodies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical diploma with ability to verify on-the-job training.
• Vocational/Technical diploma showing independence in three specialties.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in surgical procedures.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical operations and prepare operating rooms.

Under the general direction of a licensed caregiver, the Surgical Technologist III assists in surgical operations. The Surgical Technologist III is assigned technical duties, prepares operating rooms, arranges equipment, assists with procedures, and has the responsibility to ensure smooth teamwork through the application of knowledge and effective communication with registered nurses, patients, surgeons, anesthesiologists, ancillary personnel, and other health care team members.

The Surgical Technician III provides care consistent with CSMC and accrediting bodies' standards. The Surgical Technician III maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds. The Surgical Technician III identifies the ability of the adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients to follow directions/instructions and give consent.

Education
