Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent, and graduate of accredited program for surgical technologists or accredited vocational school of nursing.
• Must have at least one year of previous experience in an outpatient or hospital OR setting.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) through the AHA required; CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) through NBSTSA preferred.

Responsibilities

• The surgical technologist II functions in a perioperative surgical technologist role under the direction of the circulating Registered Nurse.
• Able to prioritize, organize and implement care of the surgical patient in a variety of specialties.
• Performs call obligations as assigned.
