The Surgical Technologist (ST) is an integral component of the surgery team, providing expertise as a scrub nurse. The ST works closely with the Registered Nurse to plan and provide care to the operative patient and to meet the needs of the surgeon. The ST provides appropriate patient care according to the patient's age, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with Administrative Policy is essential.
