Overview:

Performs the primary functions of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room, maintaining accountability for providing surgical instruments to the team, coordinating patient care, and respecting patient rights and confidentiality. Performs duties consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum Qualifications (Level II): High School Diploma or GED required. Proof of education may be requested.
  • Licensure: Non-certified applicants may be considered if they have acceptable surgical technology experience.
  • Experience: Same as above; acceptable surgical technology experience required.
  • Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Other: Must understand written and spoken English and be able to perform job functions safely, with or without reasonable accommodations as required by law.
