Performs the primary function of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room. Maintains accountability for providing surgical instruments to the surgical team. Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality. Performs duties consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Minimum Qualifications (Level II): Education: High School Diploma or GED required; proof may be requested. Licensure: Non-certified applicants may be considered with acceptable surgical technology experience. Experience: Same as licensure. Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Other: Must understand English (written and spoken) and be able to perform job-related functions safely and successfully, with or without reasonable accommodations as required by law.
