Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO seeks a Surgical Technologist to join our perioperative team. Under RN supervision, you will perform technical and supportive functions to assist with patient care throughout the perioperative phase, following hospital policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have surgical technology training or significant experience, strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a surgical technology program or have 5 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient perioperative care under RN supervision.

Job Description

A member of the healthcare team who functions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and performs a variety of technical and supportive functions to assist with the care of the patient throughout their perioperative phase of hospitalization utilizing hospital/departmental standards, policies, protocols and procedures.

Education

• Required: Graduate from a school of Surgical Technology or 5 years’ experience as a Surgical Technologist

Experience

• Preferred: Previous hospital and/or work experience as a Surgical Technologist
