This is a dual PCA/Surgical Tech role. CNA, PCA, or MA experience required.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or designate, assists in the care of patients and surgical activities in the Birthplace under the immediate supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role combines PCA and Surgical Tech responsibilities. Prior CNA, PCA, or MA experience is required.

Qualifications

• Prior C.N.A, PCA, or Medical Assisting experience is required.
• High level of concentration and attention to detail is necessary. Must be able to interact effectively with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
• 1 year experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Completion of an accredited surgical technologist training program and certification by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, the American College of Surgeons, and the Association of Surgical Technologists is required. If not certified at hire, certification must be obtained within 12 months of graduation. Alternatively, employment as a surgical technologist before July 1, 2013, or military/public service training qualifies.
• Must be certified as a Surgical Technologist or meet other specified education requirements.
