CommonSpirit Health Philanthropy seeks a Surgical Technologist to be part of the surgical team. You will provide essential support during surgeries, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality while collaborating with healthcare professionals. This role requires relevant experience, certification, and a commitment to patient care across various demographics.
Position Summary:
The Surgical Technologist (ST) is an integral part of the surgical team, providing expertise as a scrub nurse. The ST collaborates closely with the Registered Nurse to plan and deliver care to patients during surgery and to meet the needs of the surgeon. The role involves providing appropriate patient care across all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The ST is responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with Administrative Policy.

Preferred Qualifications:
National Surgical Tech certification (CST). An individual with this credential has the knowledge and experience to operate a skin stapler for wound closure under the surgeon’s supervision.
Please note that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing requirement must be fulfilled through internal resources; external RQI providers are not accepted for compliance.
