Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health is seeking an qualified Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team in New Hampshire. The role involves assisting in the operating room, preparing for procedures, and maintaining sterile technique throughout surgeries.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, and at least two years of experience. NH licensure is required, with preference for orthopaedic, gynecologic, and general surgery

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology School or program recognized by the Association of Surgical Technologists preferred.
• Two years of experience as a surgical technologist.
• Knowledge of Orthopaedic, GYN, and General Surgery preferred.
• Currently Registered with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Shares in OR suite cleaning, preparation, use and maintenance of specialized equipment & supplies used for surgical procedures.
• Maintains sterilization techniques and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Uses surgical instruments and knowledge of the step-by-step sequences for surgical procedures.
• Handles surgical specimens.
• Files and copies path and procedure chart reports.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
