Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation in Jackson, MS seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist the surgical team by arranging, inventorying and maintaining sterile setup, and passing instruments as needed.

The role supports intraoperative care, prepares the surgical suite, moves patients and helps with exposure and hemostasis, while pursuing ongoing education and meeting department standards.

Qualifications

• Holds NBSTSA CST certification.
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program.
• Successfully completed the NBSTSA certifying exam.
• Grandfathered under TN Code Ann. 68-57-102(a) for prior employment or training in surgical tech.
• TN requires 15 CEs annually starting July 1, 2013 for continued qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in procedures for the surgical patient per policies and procedures.
• Provide intraoperative care and aseptic technique.
• Safely provide and utilize equipment and supplies based on patient needs.
• Demonstrate technical accountability during operations.
• Participate in ongoing educational activities.
• Complete assigned goals.
