Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures, maintaining a sterile setup and assisting the surgeon.

The role requires three years of surgical technologist experience or state certification, strong English communication, ongoing education, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of Surgical Technologist experience in an operating room or certification as required by the state in which services are rendered.
• Strong English communication in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in performance of procedures for the surgical patient in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures.
• Assists in providing intraoperative care.
• Provides and utilizes equipment and supplies based on patient needs in a safely and adequately manner.
• Performs activities that demonstrate technical accountability.
• Participates in ongoing educational activities.
• Completes assigned goals.
