Overview

The Surgical Technologist I, OR is an allied health professional integral to the surgical team, providing care to diverse patient populations from infancy to geriatrics. Under the supervision of a surgeon or registered nurse, they ensure a safe operating room environment, proper functioning of equipment, and conduct procedures that maximize patient safety. They utilize expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and tools to assist physicians in performing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
