Overview

The Surgical Technologist I, OR is an allied health professional integral to the surgical team, providing care to diverse patient populations from infancy to geriatrics. They work under the supervision of a surgeon or registered nurse to ensure a safe operating room environment, proper functioning of equipment, and optimal patient safety during procedures. They utilize expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, human anatomy, surgical procedures, and the use of tools and technologies to support physicians in performing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
