Surgical Technologist I - Operating Room - Hillsborough Hospital Campus
Hillsborough Services: General Surgery, GYN, Urology, XI & SI Robot, Orthopedics: Total joints (hips, knees, shoulders), Sports Orthopaedics, Neuro & Orthopedic Spine, Ophthalmology & GIHBR. OR has 8 rooms operating from 7a-5:30p, with 3 late rooms until 7:30pm. All other hours are covered by call time.
Hours: 40 hr/wk. Days with call and holiday requirements.

The Surgical Technologist I works under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Surgical technologists possess expertise in sterile and aseptic technique and apply knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and relevant tools to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive procedures. Has baseline knowledge and ability to perform duties of surgical scrub at the entity they serve.
