Job summary

NAMSA is seeking a veterinary technologist in the United States to assist with routine surgical procedures and study setups. You will prepare surgical packs, monitor anesthesia and vitals, and ensure testing materials and animals follow written protocols.

You will maintain records, participate in quality systems, and support daily health observations. A science degree and veterinary tech credential are preferred, with comfort in GMP/GLP settings and on-call monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or veterinary technology background.
• CVT/RVT/LVT credentials preferred.
• Familiarity with GMP/GLP environments and animal care.
• Ability to follow written protocols and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine surgical procedures as assigned by Supervisor.
• Monitor anesthesia and vitals during procedures.
• Set up surgery for assigned studies and prepare supplies.
• Prepare testing articles and animals according to protocols.
• Maintain ancillary records and logbooks.
• Conduct daily health observations of animals.
• Participate in development of documents and quality systems.
• May be on-call for equipment monitoring.
