Job summary

Inova Health System seeks dedicated Surgical Technologists to join its team across full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules. Applicants may be considered for current or future opportunities at multiple Inova facilities in the Northern Virginia area.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, aseptic technique, and collaboration with clinical and IT teams to maintain data integrity and support hospital operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Registered Surgical Technologist licensure in the Commonwealth of VA.

Responsibilities

• Enter and update data in hospital databases, spreadsheets, and electronic systems.
• Maintain data integrity by performing regular audits and quality checks.
• Organize and file electronic and paper records in accordance with hospital policies.
• Assist in generating routine and ad hoc reports for internal departments and external agencies.
• Compile data for quality improvement, compliance, and performance tracking.
• Support data collection for surveys, audits, and accreditation processes.
• Work closely with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Respond to data-related inquiries and provide support for departmental projects.
• Communicate discrepancies or issues to appropriate staff for resolution.
• Conducts daily maintenance on all databases housed within the department.
• Maintains the structure and integrity of all data by performing regular quality checks.
• Performs data entry using database or spreadsheet software in a timely and accurate manner to facilitate the availability of data for quick analysis.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
